WAUSAU, Wis. (WSAW) - Spooky clouds and sneaky showers are in the forecast for Halloween. A First Alert for periods of rain, tapering to showers early to mid-week.

Happy Halloween! Ghostly clouds are going to be more common than peeks of sunshine on Saturday, with some pop-up spotty showers during the afternoon to early evening. Mild for late October, with highs in the mid to upper 50s.

Any lingering showers will disappear by mid-evening on Saturday. No less, for trick-or-treat times, it would be good to take along an umbrella and make sure the kids have on a light jacket. Clouds hang on overnight into early Sunday. Lows in the low to mid 40s.

A First Alert reminder that clocks “fall back” to standard time on Sunday morning. Be sure to also check the battery in the smoke and CO detectors. Sunrise on Sunday is just after 6:30 AM, with sunset prior to 5 PM. The next sunset past 5 PM won’t happen again until late January 2027.
