NewsChannel 7′s Share Your Holidays campaign is having an effect on a global scale. One dedicated WSAW viewer in Australia completely changed his career path because of it and as the campaign continues a little differently this year, he encourages people to give because it provides joy to more than just the receiver.
This year's grand total for Share Your Holidays is $97,540 and tons of food. A new record. Half will go to the Salvation Army and half to the Neighbors' Place food pantries. The food will go to Peyton's Promise for dozens of other food pantries.

Mother Nature tried, but she couldn't dampen the Spirit of the Season Friday night in Wausau. Wausau Events canceled the Holiday Parade because of cold weather, but the tree lighting and warming party went off without a hitch.

Check Out Hunger, the grocery bagging event for Share Your Holidays raised $400 and lots of food. Members of the NewsChannel 7 staff bagged people's groceries at Trig's in Wausau in return for a donation to the food drive/fund raiser.
The new evening edition of the Celebrity Gas Pump raised $602.25 and a car full of food for Share Your Holidays Friday evening. Combined with the traditional morning event and the total is $1125 and three cars full of food.
Workers are putting the finishing touches on the new JX Truck Center building in Kronenwetter. It opens next week. Meanwhile, the truck dealership and repair shop is making a $500 donation to Share Your Holidays.
The first total for the first few days of Share Your Holidays is in. Thanks for the great start of $1593! But we have a long way to go to reach our goal of $25,000 to get all the matching grant money. Some big events are coming up this weekend to help out.
The Celebrity Gas Pump for Share Your Holidays returns this Friday, December 14. For a donation, NC7 staff members will pump your gas and you'll get a free car wash and cup of coffee. It's 5am to 9am at the Wagner Shell on Schofield Ave. in Weston.
