Share Your Holidays 2022 was a smashing success once again for WSAW/WZAW’s 20th annual fundraiser for the Salvation Army of Wausau, The Neighbors’ Place, and Peyton’s Promise.
NewsChannel 7′s Share Your Holidays campaign is having an effect on a global scale. One dedicated WSAW viewer in Australia completely changed his career path because of it and as the campaign continues a little differently this year, he encourages people to give because it provides joy to more than just the receiver.
St. Stephan Lutheran Church of Wausau donated $1030 to Share You Holidays Wednesday, pushing the total of the yearly fundraiser and food drive to more than $3300 or more then 9900 meals.
This year's grand total for Share Your Holidays is $97,540 and tons of food. A new record. Half will go to the Salvation Army and half to the Neighbors' Place food pantries. The food will go to Peyton's Promise for dozens of other food pantries.
