Brewers World Series championship parade to be held Friday in Milwaukee
Rally to follow at Henry Maier Festival Park; tickets go on sale Thursday
MILWAUKEE, Wis. (WBAY) — The Brewers’ World Series championship parade steps off at 10 a.m. Friday in downtown Milwaukee, the city said. The Brewers won the World Series in Game 5 on Wednesday.
Parade route
The parade will start at the intersection of N. 4th Street and W. Wisconsin Avenue, go through downtown Milwaukee, and end at the Henry Maier Festival Park (HMFP) with a fan rally.
The festival grounds open at 8 a.m.
The MLB says the championship rally will feature Brewers alumni, a special showing of the Bob Uecker documentary “Ueck,” a limited edition rally towel, exclusive merchandise, and live music.
Gates at the festival grounds open at 8 a.m.
Rally tickets
Tickets for the rally go on sale at 10 a.m. Thursday for early access and at 2 p.m. Thursday for the general public.
As with the postseason watch parties, net proceeds from the tickets will benefit the Brewers charitable foundation.
Street closures and traffic
Fans are being told to expect street closures along the parade route. Heavy traffic is expected around downtown and the lakefront during the morning and midday hours.
Officials urge fans to give themselves extra time and to use public transit or ride shares if they can.
Championship merchandise
A line formed late Wednesday night for World Series merchandise at American Family Field.
All Kohl’s locations in Wisconsin will open early Thursday at 7 a.m. so fans can buy championship T-shirts and wear them to work and school.
Some select Dick’s Sporting Goods locations will have extended hours so fans can buy merchandise as well
