Jeremy Tabin

Jeremy Tabin is a familiar face here in Northcentral Wisconsin. He has been a meteorologist at Newschannel 7 for over 15 years.

He is a proud graduate of Penn State University with a B.S. degree in Meteorology and was awarded the American Meteorological Society (AMS) Certified Broadcast Meteorologist Seal in 2010. He was the first meteorologist in the Wausau television market to achieve this accreditation. Jeremy is also an award-winning Meteorologist. In 2021, the Wisconsin Broadcasters Association presented him with the Best Weather Cast award for 2020.

Jeremy grew up in Mount Holly, NJ, coincidentally within a close distance of the local National Weather Service office and has been fascinated by the weather ever since elementary school. During his youth, he was a weather watcher for WPHL 17 in Philadelphia, PA and an avid listener of NOAA weather radio. While in high school, he experienced a tornado that came within a couple miles of his home. Fortunately, this weak twister caused little in the way of damage. One of the many aspects Jeremy enjoys most about forecasting in North Central Wisconsin is that every season features exciting weather - from snowstorms in the winter to severe thunderstorms and tornadoes in spring and summer.

In his free time, Jeremy is an active member of the Greater Wausau Kiwanis, having served in various leadership roles. In addition, he has worked with the Wisconsin-Upper Michigan District Circle K, which is a service leadership organization sponsored by Kiwanis. He loves to take part in a variety of service projects, ranging from lending a helping hand at Easter Seal’s Camp Wawbeek in Wisconsin Dells, having volunteered for the Kiwanis Little Olympics in Wausau, and in years past sold elephant ears at the Wisconsin Valley Fair. In addition, Jeremy is a big fan of Penn State football (Go Nittany Lions!) and his hometown Philly sports teams.
