(CNN) - A SWAT team in Oregon rescued a child hours after she was kidnapped from her house, according to law enforcement.

The search for the 10-year-old girl started Wednesday morning.

Authorities said Vince Edgar Chavez got into the house and assaulted the girl. He was also accused of attacking her 12-year-old sister with a hammer.

By Wednesday afternoon, Clackamas County SWAT and Crisis Negotiation were led to a house where they found the girl, who was restrained with duct tape.

Chavez allegedly tried to run from officers by going out a second-story window but was captured and arrested shortly afterward.

Both girls received medical treatment, and their parents are working with the authorities. Police said there is a link between Chavez and the family but didn’t offer additional details.
