115th Fighter Wing to be doing aerial practices this week over central Wisconsin

WAUSAU, Wis. (WSAW) - over the next two weeks, you may notice extra activity in the sky.

Between today and June 15, the Wisconsin National Guard will be conducting aerial exercises out of Volk Field in Juneau County.

The Sentry North Exercise will see F-35′s, F-16′s and other military aircraft doing trainings between 9:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Aircraft flying above 30,000 feet can work at supersonic speeds within the Volk operating area, which you’ll probably hear at ground level.
