Schofield Perkins to close Sunday

Perkins Restaurant & Bakery in Schofield will be closing Sunday, February 3 at 3 p.m., according to company spokesperson Vivian Brooks.
Brooks did not say why the restaurant would be closing, but that they opted out of renewing the lease option. She says the restaurant has served the community for about 40 years, and that she hopes customers will continue to frequent other Perkins in Wisconsin.
Other Perkins restaurants in northcentral Wisconsin include locations in Marshfield, Stevens Point, Neenah, and Wisconsin Rapids.
NewsChannel 7 will update this developing story as we learn more.
I can confirm for you that the Schofield Perkins will be closing on February 3 at 3:00 PM. After approximately 40 years in the community we would like to express our thanks to our loyal guests who have patronized us over the years, and our employees for their service. Closing a restaurant is always a difficult decision. In this particular case, we opted not to renew our lease option. We do hope to have an opportunity to serve our guests again at any of our 30+ Perkins in Wisconsin (or nearly 400 Perkins in 32 states.)
