Gubernatorial candidate David Crowley brings bus tour to central Wisconsin
Supporters gather at Marathon County Democrats headquarters one week before Election Day
SCHOFIELD, Wis. (WSAW) - With one week until Election Day, Democrats welcomed gubernatorial candidate David Crowley’s bus tour to central Wisconsin on Tuesday.
Dozens of supporters gathered at the Marathon County Democrats headquarters in Schofield. Local Democratic candidates, statewide candidates and Crowley asked supporters to go out and vote early.
Crowley’s message
Crowley said he will give the people of north-central Wisconsin a voice toward solutions.
“Tackling the affordability crisis. That we’re putting our farmers and our manufacturers in a much better position than what we have seen the Trump administration do with the help of Tom Tiffany,” Crowley said. “So I want everybody to know that I’m not looking to be governor for just Democrats or a governor for Republicans. I’m looking to be a governor for all of us, but it’s going to take all of us going to the polls to make that happen.”
Brewers attire and parade question
Many candidates and supporters wore Milwaukee Brewers attire, following the team’s recent success.
Asked whether he has been involved in plans for a World Series victory parade in Milwaukee, Crowley said he wants to see the team win Game 4 first.
“We are excited,” Crowley said. “You know, our teams are already talking with the county and the city when we think about this Brewers parade. At the end of the day, I just want to be able to participate and I know many others across Wisconsin are looking forward to that.”
Remaining stops
Crowley also had stops scheduled Tuesday in Rhinelander, Woodruff and Washburn.
