Ollie’s to open Sept. 9 in Stevens Point

STEVENS POINT, Wis. (WSAW) - Ollie’s Bargain Outlet will officially open its newest retail location in Stevens Point on Wednesday, Sept. 9.

The store will open in the building formerly occupied by Big Lots on Highway 10.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony is scheduled for 8:45 a.m., followed by the store opening to shoppers at 9 a.m.

The new Stevens Point store is expected to create between 50 and 60 local jobs, including positions for cashiers, department managers, and store leaders.

“We’re super excited to bring Real Brands, Real Bargains to Stevens Point,” Eric van der Valk, president and CEO of Ollie’s, said in a statement. “At Ollie’s, we sell Good Stuff Cheap®, so families can stretch their hard-earned dollars even further.”

The Pennsylvania-based retailer, founded in 1982, specializes in closeouts and excess inventory.

Ollie’s sells a rotating selection of merchandise, including housewares, bedding, toys, books, and seasonal decorations, at discounts up to 70% off traditional retail prices.

The store is located at 5601 US-10 in Stevens Point.
