Man dies after becoming trapped in burning grain bin at family farm, coroner says

MARSHALL COUNTY, Ind. (WNDU/Gray News) - A man died Monday after getting trapped in a burning grain bin at a family farm.
The Marshall County Sheriff’s Office identified the victim as Jonathon Hayn.
According to the coroner’s office, Hayn was working inside a grain bin when he became overcome by smoke after the grain began burning. Family members and workers attempted to remove Hayn from the bin but were unable to rescue him.
Firefighters were able to remove Hayn from the grain bin. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
An autopsy will determine Hayn’s cause of death.
