‘Bring her back’: $5,800 Shih Tzu puppy stolen from Petland store

STRONGSVILLE, Ohio (WOIO/Gray News) - A 9-week-old Shih Tzu puppy was allegedly stolen from a Petland store in Ohio on Monday afternoon.

The store filed a report with police and shared surveillance video the team says shows a woman walking out with the puppy.

The puppy named Zima had a price tag of $5,800.

Amy Parker, the regional animal care manager, said she wants Zima returned, with the person responsible being held accountable.

“Bring her back. We provide proper care for her; we know her pattern of eating, we know how much she eats every day, we know potential risks with the small breed puppies,” Parker said. “It was wrong to take her out of the store.”

The Strongsville Police Department said if anyone recognized the woman in question or had further information regarding the puppy, they can be contacted at 440-580-3230.

“The well-being of the puppy is my ultimate concern, so naturally the puppy’s safety is our main concern. We would like our puppy back,” Parker said.
