Date announced for Coldplay concert at Camp Randall

MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) - The date for Camp Randall’s first concert in nearly 30 years has been revealed.

British rock band Coldplay will play in the stadium on July 19, according to a press release from UW Athletics.

The most recent concert at Camp Randall was in 1997, when The Rolling Stones performed.

According to UW Athletics, there have been seven concerts in Camp Randall history:

• Pink Floyd: May 20, 1998
• Genesis: June 9, 1992
• U2: September 13, 1992
• Pink Floyd: July 3, 1994
• Rolling Stones: August 26, 1994
• U2: June 25, 1997
• Rolling Stones: October 6, 1997
