Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers was a guest on The Pat McAfee Show during the draft, and he said that he knew the direction the Packers were taking.

Walker had 67 tackles for Georgia in 2021. He impressed at the combine with his 4.52 40-yard dash time. The newest Packer shared his excitement via Twitter Thursday evening.

With the Packers’ second pick in the first round, they selected another Georgia Bulldog, grabbing DT Devonte Wyatt with the #28 overall pick. Wyatt was a force for the Bulldogs’ defensive front, racking up 113 tackles including 12 for loss in his career in Athens.

This now marks three straight first-round picks that the Packers have selected out of Georgia. Green Bay’s top draft pick last Eric Stokes, was a cornerback with the Bulldogs. He shared his subtle excitement via Twitter.
