Today marks 20 years since the devastation of Hurricane Katrina. It was a Category 3 hurricane when it made landfall, impacting Louisiana and Coastal Mississippi. In the aftermath, we drove along with members of Germantown United Methodist Church who trekked to Ocean Springs, Mississippi, to help Katrina survivors pick up the pieces.
Located in Smith County on a stretch of U.S. Highway 69, the newly named Veterans Memorial Highway will serve as a lasting tribute to the brave men and women who have served in the United States armed forces.
