Tramon Williams to start in place of Al Harris

Tramon Williams is ready to take over for Al Harris, although the Green Bay Packers' second-year cornerback might not have to fill in for Harris for the rest of the season after all.

Harris suffered an injured spleen in the Dallas game. That's potentially a season-ending injury, but the Packers say Harris may be able to recover in time to return later in the season.

But for now, it's a big job for Williams, who went to Louisiana Tech as a walk-on, wasn't drafted coming out of college and has gone from practice-squad afterthought to key contributor in Green Bay.

Packers coach Mike McCarthy says Williams is a true testament to the value of hard work. He also says the team is very comfortable letting him step in and play.
