Walking or Running, Shoes Matter for Proper Foot Health

By  |

Jim Shippy, of Shippy Shoes, stopped by Sunrise 7 Wednesday morning to talk about how to choose the right shoe for a run outside.

Shippy said a lot of problems in feet can develop if someone is starting an exercise program, especially if they are adding mileage.

There are slight, moderate and severe shaped correctional shoes to help people with improper foot posture.

The shoe should be able to bend in the front and end part, but if the shoe is bendable in the middle, it's not providing enough support.

Shippy said it's time to get a new pair of shoes every six months.
