A man who attempted to take his own life in 2000 by jumping from the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco will speak Monday night at Waupaca High School. The presentation on mental health is free and open to the public.

Kevin Hines said he was 19-years-old when he jumped from bridge. Kevin said he heard voices telling him he had to die and he said he believed them. In his book, “Cracked, Not Broken”, Hines said the fall broke his body, but not his spirit.

The presentation begins at 6 p.m. and is presented by the Waupaca Co. Suicide Prevention Coalition.
