Fresh Foods Keep Coming at Winter Farmers Markets

By  |

The cold and snow may end the traditional tented farmers markets, but venders have not gone far, as many markets move indoors. Sunrise 7 Sunday spoke with Tony Schultz of Stoney Acres Farm in Athens about how winter farming is different from spring, summer, and fall harvests. He also showed some produce that are thriving this time of year.

Schultz encourages everyone to help support their local growers and head to their farmers market. Check out your municipality's website to see where to find your nearest one.
