Wisconsin 1st District Congressman Paul Ryan got a shout-out from Sarah Palin on Fox News Sunday with Chris Wallace.
Mentioned by the former VP candidate as a rising star in the GOP who might be considered a front runner for the 2012 presidential race.
Ryan was at the Rock-Green County Realtors meeting Monday in Janesville and says if that attention gets Washington to focus on his message to control the federal debt, he's all for it.
"It's helpful to get the kinds of ideas that I've been advocating, noticed," said, Rep. Ryan, "and I'm suggesting it's not too late for America to turn its economics around and its fiscal problems around but we're getting to a point because debt and deficit so far out of control that we've got to act now."
Ryan is the ranking republican on the House Budget Committee. He recently released his "Roadmap for America's Future 2.0" which would simplify the tax code and privatize both social security and medicare.
