Wanted: Blood

Area blood centers are asking you to donate to avoid a shortage that's not unusual this time of year.
The holidays and bad winter weather tend to keep people from driving, which is why January is National Volunteer Blood Donor Month.
The Blood Center of Wisconsin, which supplies hospitals in 28 counties, says people rally when supplies drop, and if need be, the Blood Center can get some from others.
The American Red Cross is asking healthy people to donate more, saying they can give blood every 56 days.
