INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. -- The No. 1-ranked UW-Stevens Point men's hockey team received a first round bye in the NCAA Division III Ice Hockey Championship. The Pointers will host the winner of the first round match-up between St. Norbert and Augsburg.

The Pointers will host the quarterfinal game on Saturday, March 16, at K.B. Willett Arena. Puck drop will be at 7:00 p.m.

Tickets for the quarterfinal game will go on sale on Monday, March 11, at 8:00 a.m. Advance tickets can be purchased at the University Information and Tickets Office in the Dreyfus University Center, online at tickets.uwsp.edu, or by calling 715-346-4100.

All tickets for the men's hockey games will be reserved seats at $10.00 per ticket with the exception of 400 student tickets at $4.00 each for students of the competing institutions. With the recent trend of sell-outs at Willett Arena, fans are encouraged to purchase tickets in advance.

Men's hockey season ticket holders will have the opportunity to renew their same seats from the regular season at $10.00 per ticket. Deadline for season ticket holders to reserve their seats from the regular season will be Wednesday, March 13, at 5:00 p.m. Any unclaimed season tickets at that point will be released for sale to the public.

Parents and family ticket holders who received comp tickets in the regular season must now pay for their seats at $10.00 per ticket and must be purchased by 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday (March 13) or those seats will be sold to the public.

The Pointers enter the NCAA Tournament as the only unbeaten team in the country at 26-0-2. The 28-game unbeaten streak is tied for the longest in program history. UWSP claimed its third WIAC Commissioner's Cup title on Saturday with a 3-2 win over UW-Eau Claire.
