Pointers shutout St. Norbert 3-0 to advance to NCAA Frozen Four

STEVENS POINT, Wis. (WSAW) -- The unbeaten, number one ranked UW-Stevens Point men's hockey team is headed to its eleventh Frozen Four appearance in program history after posting a 3-0 shutout against St. Norbert College in quarterfinal action Saturday.

Kelly O'Brien netted the winning goal in the first period, Tanner Karty and TJ Roo added two more in the second period.

Sophomore goalie Connor Ryckman tallied 17 saves in his program record 24th win of the season.

The Pointers will face Hobart College in Frozen Four action Friday, March 22. Sources tell NewsChannel 7 the Frozen Four will be held at K.B. Willet Ice Arena in Stevens Point.
