GREEN BAY, Wis. (WSAW) -- A person familiar with the decision says Titans offensive coordinator Matt LaFleur has accepted Green Bay's offer to become the next head coach of the Packers.

The person spoke to The Associated Press on the condition of anonymity Monday because neither the Packers nor the Titans had announced the decision.

According to reports, they've begun notifying other head coaching candidates that they're no longer being considered.

The 39 year old just completed his first season as offensive coordinator under Titans first year head coach Mike Vrabel.

He worked with Atlanta Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan during his MVP year, and was with Sean McVay in 2017 when Rams quarterback Jared Goff had his breakout year.

It is being reported by multiple outlets LaFleur's only head coaching interview was with Green Bay.

LaFleur will become the 15th head coach in Packers' history.

The team is reportedly working on finalizing a deal that is expected to help keep Mike Pettine and the defensive staff in tact.
