Packers place Aaron Jones on IR

GREEN BAY, Wis. (WSAW) -- The Green Bay Packers announced that Aaron Jones has been placed on injured reserve meaning his season is done. He sprained his MCL in Sunday's game against the Chicago Bears.

The 2nd-year running back rushed for 728 yards and eight touchdowns this season.

This comes just a day after the Packers announced the signing of Kapri Bibbs from the Redskins off of waivers.

The Packers also announced that they have signed wide receiver Allen Lazard to the active roster from the Jacksonville Jaguars' practice squad.

Lazard, a 6-foot-5, 227-pound rookie, was originally signed as an undrafted free agent out of Iowa State by the Jacksonville Jaguars on May 11. He has spent the entire regular season on the Jaguars’ practice squad. Lazard appeared in 48 games for the Cyclones, finishing as the school’s career leader in receptions (241), receiving yards (3,360) and 100-yard receiving games (12). He earned first-team All-Big 12 honors in 2016 and 2017. Lazard will wear No. 13 for the Packers.
