GREEN BAY, Wis. (WSAW) -- The Packers new coaching staff will have a star in the making on the defensive side of the ball. The Professional Football Writers of America (PFWA) announced that cornerback Jaire Alexander has been named to the All-Rookie Team.
Alexander was Green Bay's first round draft pick in the 2018 NFL Draft.
The 21-year-old played in 13 games finishing second on the team with 76 total tackles. He also led the team with 15 passes defended. The rookie added an interception, a half-sack three tackles for loss.
The last Packers to be selected to the PFWA All-Rookie team were safety Ha Ha Clinton-Dix and center Corey Linsley in 2014.
