GREEN BAY, Wis. (WBAY) - The Green Bay Packers have traded RB Ty Montgomery to the Baltimore Ravens, according to NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport.
ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that the Packers will get a 7th round pick in the 2020 NFL Draft.
Montgomery was criticized for his decision to return a kickoff late in the fourth quarter on Sunday against the Los Angeles Rams.
With 2:05 left in the game, Montgomery took the kickoff out of the end zone and fumbled, giving the ball back to the Rams instead of putting it in the hands of Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers. The Rams then ran out the clock and to remain undefeated with a 29-27 win.
Montgomery admitted on Monday that he made a mistake by taking the ball out. Packers Head Coach Mike McCarthy said he was told to take the touchback.
The Green Bay Packers also traded Ha Ha Clinton-Dix to the Redskins for a 4th round draft pick, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
Clinton-Dix is tied for second in the NFL with three interceptions.
