Former Packer MacArthur Lane dies at 77

GREEN BAY, Wis. (WSAW) -- Former Packer running back MacArthur Lane died at the age of 77 in Oakland, California.

Lane played for the Packers from 1972-1974 after starting his career with the St. Louis Cardinals.

The Packers acquired lane in 1972 by trading Donny Anderson.

During his time with the Packers, Lane ran for 1,711 yards and 7 touchdowns.

Originally a No. 1 pick by the Cardinals in 1968 when he was 26 years old, Lane played 11 years in the NFL and finished with 4,656 rushing yards.
