Favre to Rodgers: 'I would be the greatest coach if I was coaching you'

GREEN BAY, Wis. (WBAY) It doesn't get much better than two of the all time legends of Lambeau Field shooting the breeze. Green Bay Packers Hall of Fame quarterback Brett Favre spoke with future Hall of Famer Aaron Rodgers on Favre's SiriusXM NFL Radio show.

The MVPs and Super Bowl champs discussed a wide range of topics, including No. 12's visit to No. 4's home over the summer.

Favre hosts the show with Bruce Murray every Tuesday.

Favre dangled this enticing possibility during the conversation with Rodgers: “You’ve taken it to a new level. I would be the greatest coach ever if I was coaching you because I would not coach you one bit.”

Here's a taste of the conversation:

Brett Favre: “What did I tell you at the start of the season? You and I, we had a great visit, and I said as long as they have Aaron Rodgers, and I don’t expect you to pat yourself on the back, but I said as long as they have you and you’re in the lineup, Green Bay has a chance to win and do wonderful things.”

Aaron Rodgers: “We’ll [Favre], you know, when you were here that’s the mindset. I think it’s a mental advantage when we’re thinking, ‘Hey, it don’t matter, we have 4 out there, we’re going to get this done.’ As a leader, you can relate to this as good as anybody, that’s the mindset that we have, you know, when you know situations it’s like, ‘We’re going to go down and score.’ And that’s that confidence that we have in the huddle now because we’ve done it before and, you know, I think the other team feels it too.”
