Ethan Happ named First-Team All-Big Ten

MADISON, Wis. (WSAW) -- Ethan Happ has been named First-Team All-Big Ten. Happ is the first player in Wisconsin basketball history to be given All-Big Ten honors three years in a row.

This season, Happ averaged 17.8 PPG, 10.4 RPG, 4.7 APG, 1.2 BPG and 1.1 SPG.

Since the Big Ten started designating first-team all-conference honorees in 1948, Happ becomes just the 13th player to earn a trio of first-team All-Big Ten accolades. He is the first to accomplish this feat since Purdue’s Robbie Hummel in 2008, 2010 and 2012.

Over the last 18 seasons, Wisconsin players have earned 16 first-team All-Big Ten honors. That is three more than any other team in the conference.

Happ and the Badgers will take the floor on Friday in the Big Ten Tournament.
