WAUSAU, Wis. (WSAW) -- Columbus Catholic will return to the state boys basketball tournament in Madison after posting a 79-69 win over Green Bay N.E.W Lutheran Saturday.

After being down by as many as nine points in the start of the second half, the Dons rallied back, defeating the Blazers in a rematch of last year's sectional final game.

"N.E.W. Lutheran has been to state 9 or 10 times, and to be down by nine with 15 minutes left and to respond the way we did, I'm just very proud of our players and i'm very grateful I get to be their coach," Dons head coach Joe Konieczny said.

"It's surreal. I'm speechless," senior Jarred Mandel said. "When that buzzer went off, I was in tears coming to the sideline, so happy. Me and our coaches, we've been dreaming of this. We knew all year long we had it in us. Coming to the Kohl baby part two!"
