Weather Authority: Rain arrives late Tuesday evening

Skies will stay clear tonight, leading to very cold temperatures for this time of year. Lows will be in the mid single digits.

Tomorrow will start off with plenty of sunshine, then cloud cover will increase in the late morning and early afternoon. Light rain will begin to fall tomorrow evening. Highs tomorrow will be in the upper 30s.

As temperatures drop to around freezing Tuesday night into Wednesday morning, freezing rain will be possible. This could lead to icy conditions early Wednesday morning.

Periods of rain will continue on Wednesday, and temperatures will begin to climb. Highs will make it into the low to mid 40s. By Thursday, highs will be close to 50. The rain will continue into the day on Thursday. The combination of snow melt and rain will lead to an increase risk of flooding.

Cooler air will begin to rush in on Thursday evening, and this will transition rain over to freezing rain or snow. Light snow will likely continue into Friday morning before tapering off.

It will be a fair amount cooler for the weekend. Highs will return to the low 30s.
