Weather Authority: Periods of rain and dense fog tonight

Light rain and drizzle will be possible this morning and early in the afternoon. Highs will climb into the low or mid 40s. Heavier and more widespread rain will move in late this afternoon, and continue overnight. Isolated thunderstorms will be possible as well.

Temperatures will climb to around 50° tomorrow. Periods of rain will continue through the day, and a few more thunderstorms could develop. As temperatures drop tomorrow night into Friday morning, the rain will transition to snow. Light snow will continue into Friday morning, but very minor accumulation is expected. Highs on Friday will return to the mid 30s.

By the time this system has exited the region, another half an inch or so of rainfall will be possible. This is in addition to the amount of rain that has already fallen. The rain, combined with the rising temperatures and melting snow, will lead to elevated flooding concerns.

Plenty of sunshine is in store for the weekend, though both Saturday and Sunday will likely begin with fog. Highs will be in the mid 30s. We'll start off the next work week with dry conditions and temperatures just a few degrees below normal.
