2 teens facing charges following shooting in Wausau

WAUSAU, Wis. (WSAW) -- Wausau Police say two 14-year-old boys face charges in juvenile court following a shooting Monday.

The police department got multiple phone calls around 1:40 p.m. Sept. 9 reporting the sounds of gunshots. Officers responded and found empty shell casings in the alley between Washington Street and Jackson Street.
There are no known injuries.

Police said one of the teen was in possession of a handgun. That handgun is being held as evidence.

The other teen admitted to firing the gunshots in the alley, to include firing one of those rounds into the wall of a detached garage several feet away adjacent to the alley.

Police said both teens are from Wausau.

There remains no known injuries as a result of this shooting.

Police say charges for this incident and unrelated incidents previous to this are being forwarded for prosecution.
