UPDATE: Man killed in Price County boating crash identified

PRICE COUNTY, Wis. (WSAW) The Price County Sheriff said the body of Lutz Wohkittell, 59, of Franklin was recovered from the Crowley Flowage portion of the North Fork Flambeau River in the Town of Lake in Price County.

According to investigators, two people were on a boat August 15 when it hit a submerged object. Both were thrown into the water. Witnesses helped the 61-year-old woman from Milwaukee until rescuers arrived, but the other went missing.

Wohkittell was not wearing a personal flotation device at the time of the crash.
