Thursday on the Deep Bench, Judy Lemke, a licensed professional counselor from Behavioral Health Clinic in Wausau, explained how people can best cope with their mental illness while at work and ways employers can make sure they're being supportive.
"A mental illness is a brain disorder and it's 24/7. So it's a constant processing of thoughts, which are leading to different emotions, and trying to manage that to be able to still function on a day-to-day basis can be very challenging."
