MINOCQUA, Wis. (WSAW) -- Minocqua Area Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Krystal Westfahl says right now there is too much snow for crews to build the annual Snowmy Kromer.

Snowmy Kromer is Minocqua's 30 foot tall snowman.

Construction was scheduled to begin Wednesday.

"Our excavation company is still busy getting our roads, driveways, and businesses cleaned up after last nights exceptional snow fall," Westfahl wrote.

Typically, construction lasts two days and involves nearly a dozen people.

The plan is to begin Feb. 20.
