Black ice, flooded roads cause hazardous conditions in Marathon County

WAUSAU, Wis. (WSAW) -- The Marathon County Sheriff’s Department said roads in some parts of the county are hazardous due to flooding and black ice.

On its Facebook page, the department asked drivers to exercise caution while traveling Wednesday—by reducing speed, increase spacing between your vehicle and other vehicles, and be alert for changing road conditions.

They’re advising drivers that encounter flooded over roads to use an alternative route.

Curling Way in Wausau was flooded as of Wednesday morning.
