Banks help Woodson YMCA get closer to expansion fundraising goal

WAUSAU, Wis. (WSAW) - People's State Bank and Associated Bank have each contributed $100,000 to support the Woodson YMCA's expansion project in downtown Wausau.

Chad Kane, chair of the Woodson YMCA's Capital Campaign says that brings their fundraising total to $20,900,000, leaving them $600,000 short of their $21.5 million goal.

Associated Bank's contribution will fund the new Associated Bank Small Group Training Center, which will be used for small group exercise classes.

People's State Bank's contribution will fund the new People's State Bank Consultation Room where members can meet with trainers or health professionals.

Kane says the expansion and renovation projects are on schedule, and fundraising efforts will continue.
