New district administrator begins Monday in Antigo

ANTIGO, Wis. (WSAW)-- A former Antigo High School graduate will begin Monday as Antigo superintendent.

According to a press release from the Antigo School District, Dr. Julie Sprague has 27 years of experience with the Wausau School District. Previously, she was the preK-12 director of curriculum and instruction in the Wausau School District. She was hired by Antigo earlier this month.

Sprague's previous roles include teacher, coach, team leader, department leader, elementary principal, charter school principal, middle school principal, and central office administrator.

Sprague stated, “I look forward to working with Antigo students, staff, and families, and am very excited for the opportunity to positively impact education in our community.”

Sprague replaces Dr. Colleen Timm who resigned June 30.
