EAU PLEINE RESERVOIR, Wis. (WSAW) -- The Aerator system in the Eau Pleine Reservoir will fire up for the year this Friday, according to the DNR and Wisconsin Valley Improvement Company.

The device helps maintain oxygen levels for fish, but it can also create unsafe ice conditions and open water. The DNR has put up warning signs and rope barriers to warn people of the danger for snowmobilers and ice anglers.
