EASTON, Wis. (WSAW)-- A two-story home in the Town of Easton is likely a total loss after fire destroyed most of the upper level Tuesday afternoon.
Crews responded to the home on the 1200 block of East Tower Road, just east of County Road J around 4:13 p.m.
Town of Easton Fire Chief Vern Block tells NewsChannel 7 burn patterns show the fire started on the second floor at the west-end of the more than 100-year-old home, but what caused the fire is still undetermined.
Block said the residents were not home when the fire started and there is nothing suspicious about the fire. The Red Cross has made contact with the family and will help them find temporary living accomodations.
Fire departments from Easton, Ringle, Hewitt, SAFER, and the Town of Wausau responded to the fire.
