WZAW FOX at Nine
Naomi joined WSAW in September 2018 as the WZAW News at Nine producer.
She's called Wisconsin home for a few years now, but has bounced around a few times since her childhood in New York--including a year-and-a-half stint in Mongolia as an English teacher. Mongolians said she rode horses as naturally as a nomad, but you're free to take that with a grain of salt.
She majored in International Studies, during which she traveled to South Africa to complete her capstone on multilingualism in young schoolchildren. While she can't claim fluency in any language except English (yet!), she has spent time studying Arabic, and reached basic conversational levels in Korean.
Naomi reported on Rhinelander city government for the Star Journal before making the transition into broadcast journalism. She's passionate about communicating factual, vivid narratives that impact the community and uncover untold stories.
She's a sports misfit in the WSAW newsroom, preferring soccer to football. When she has time, she's probably on the road, reading, or on her motorcycle--during the two weeks of Wisconsin weather that permits it.
