Yelich wins Silver Slugger

MILWAUKEE (WSAW) -- Major League Baseball announced its Silver Slugger award winners. Christian Yelich was one of three outfielders in the National League given the award.

This is Yelich's second career Silver Slugger. He won his first in 2016 with the Miami Marlins.

Yelich finished a career year batting .326 with 36 home runs and 110 RBI.

The 26-year old is also a finalist in the MVP voting. That will be announced on Nov. 15.

The Silver Slugger is handed to the best hitter at each position in both leagues.
