The Packers coaching search has another new name in the equation. ESPN's Jeremy Fowler reports that Tampa Bay Buccaneers offensive coordinator Todd Monken will interview for the Green Bay job tonight.
While the Buccaneers finished 5-11 this season, the offense certainly wasn't the problem. Tampa Bay led the NFL in passing yards per game and finished third in total offensive yardage, while also going back and forth between Jameis Winston and Ryan Fitzpatrick at quarterback.
Monken has been with Tampa Bay since 2016. Before that, he was the head coach at Southern Mississippi in the college ranks from 2013-15. The Golden Eagles went 1-11 in his first season at the helm, but improved to 9-5 by the time he departed.
Monken will also reportedly meet with the Cincinnati Bengals and New York Jets about their head coaching vacancies this week.
