REPORT: Packers WR Geronimo Allision needs surgery

GREEN BAY, Wis. (WSAW) NFL.com's Ian Rapaport is reporting that Packers wide receiver Geronimo Allison is expected to have surgery on a core muscle injury.

Packers head coach Mike McCarthy told reporters that Allison visited a specialist in Philadelphia who told him that he has a serious injury.

Allison was dealing with a hamstring injury, but injured his core muscle during practice on Thursday.

The recovery is expected to be six weeks.
