MILWAUKEE (WSAW) -- There's some good news as the Bucks prepare for game one of their playoff series with Detroit.
Bucks forward Nikola Mirotic told reporters Saturday he expects to return from a thumb injury for Sunday's game.
Mirotic missed the final 11 games of the regular season after suffering a fractured thumb against the Lakers.
Bucks head coach Mike Budenholzer told reporters Friday Mirotic was able to go through every drill live.
Mirotic said he's been working to stay in game shape for his return.
"The good thing is, I've been doing a lot with basketball. Shooting, dribbling. I was not able to do contact but I was doing by myself a lot of stuff. I did a lot of weights, a lot of upper body, cardio. I've been working a lot which means I'm going to be ready. So that was my goal, to be in shape when the time comes for me to play."
