Marshfield's Ryan Krueger signs with Minnesota-Duluth

MARSHFIELD, Wis. (WSAW) -- Marshfield senior Ryan Krueger signed his letter of intent to play football at division 2 University of Minnesota-Duluth in a ceremony held at Marshfield High School Friday.

Kruger will redshirt his first year with the team, but said he's ready to get to work with the Bulldogs.

"I just feel pretty proud I'd have to say. Just the fact that I've always wanted this to happen, and just the fact that its finally happened and I'm pretty proud of myself for all of the work I've put in and everything else that's put me through this journey and I feel satisfied because this has been my goal for my life," Krueger said.

Krueger added he's ready to test his skills against stiffer competition.

"I'd say just to play against other people. I've always improved more when I've played against better competition and I feel like the better competition I play against, the better I'm going to become. I can't want to see what kind of athlete I become when I start playing against all of those guys."
