Hornibrook to miss the Pinstripe Bowl

MADISON, Wis. (WSAW) -- Alex Hornibrook practiced in preparation for the Pinstripe Bowl, but he could not shake concussion like symptoms.

"Alex did participate in a couple weeks of bowl practices and then kind of had some reoccurring (symptoms), and we're going with Jack,” said Wisconsin head coach Paul Chryst.

The Badgers will start Jack Coan in Hornibrook's place. This will be the fifth time Coan takes the field this season. That's significant because Coan will no longer be able to redshirt under the new NCAA rules.

Hornibrook will finish the season with 1,532 passing yards, 13 touchdowns thrown and 11 interceptions.

Coan has thrown for 442 yards, 4 touchdowns and 2 interceptions this season.
