Breitbach adds NFL coaching vet Valero to his staff
UW-Stevens Point head football coach Greg Breitbach announced the hiring of Art Valero as Assistant Football Coach - Offensive Line. Valero joins the staff bringing coaching at the NFL, CFL and NCAA FBS levels.
"We're excited to have Coach Art Valero joining our staff," said Breitbach. "His coaching background and experience in the NFL and in the NCAA will be an asset to this program. It was easy to see from his interview that he has exceptional ability to teach and coach the schemes and techniques associated with a good offensive line. Above all, Art is a genuine person, he is highly motivated and he is a professional football coach that can make positive, lifelong impacts on the players he'll coach at UWSP."
Valero comes to UWSP with 34 years of coaching and teaching experience. Most recently, Valero worked with The Spring League, an elite development league and scouting event for professional football talent.

Valero moved to the St. Louis Rams in 2008 for two seasons as an assistant head coach working with the running backs and offensive line. He made stops with the Seattle Seahawks and Tennessee Titans as an offensive line coach before returning to the college ranks in 2013.
In 2013 and 2014, Valero was the tight ends coach at Colorado State. He has also had collegiate coaching stops at Louisville (1998-2001), Utah State (1995-97), Idaho (1990-94), New Mexico (1987-89), Long Beach State (1984-86), Iowa State (1983) and Boise State (1981-82).
