WESTON, Wis. (WSAW) --- Every year the Trap Shooting Club in Weston chooses a charity to donate to. This year, they chose the 'Patriots for Warriors' charity.
The charity helps to raise money for veterans in need. Money goes towards car payments, home payments and car repairs.
Members of both the club and the charity said that Sunday's event was a great way to bring help, and awareness, to struggling veterans.
"Oh we believe in giving back to the community, and this is a good cause," said Glen Hamerly, President of the Trap Club.
"They deserve it, they signed their life on the dotted line when they signed up for the armed forced and this is the least that we can do for them," said Randy Pliska, President of Patriots for Warriors.
(Update for Correction on amount raised. Was $2,238 not $3,238 as originally posted) The Trap Club was able to raise $2,238 dollars at Sunday's event.
